Hat, hat, hat!

This is possibly the most frustrating hat in the world. Sure, it’s exactly what I want. Sure, I crochet kind of tightly. But I’m using a bigger hook than is suggested in the pattern and the same yarn. I could understand having to add a few rounds, but twelve to make the crown long enough, and adding three rounds and the brim is still too small? I’m really about ready to frog the entire thing.

It’s so pretty though. I love cloches, I really want one. They’re so elegant and feminine. But I’m really at a loss at how to fix the brim … I think I need to frog the last round or two because the brim is starting to turn in. Which means carefully, carefully adding more increases. I really hope it works, because I’m really getting frustrated.

I know, I know, check my gauge before hand.
